Facilitating for a Self-Reliant Society through community-driven initiatives and sustainable development.
Multi-dimensional Resource Centre Nepal (MRC Nepal) is an alliance of multidisciplinary professionals working in the field of development. Registered in 2002 A.D., we are a member-based non-governmental, non-profit, and social development organization committed to excellence in sustainable community development.
With our head office in Kathmandu and main operation office in Hetauda, Makawanpur, our projects have been carried out across 17 districts of Nepal. We primarily focus on empowering marginalized groups—poor households, women, disadvantaged communities (Dalit, Janajati, etc.), and children—through eco-friendly agricultural interventions, income generation, and integrated social empowerment.
Our Guiding Principles
Socially and economically sustainable communities built upon the foundation of equity and peace in which all people live in dignity and prosperity.
To facilitate the process in the establishment of sustainable and self-reliant societies across Nepal.
To reduce poverty through integrated development that meets immediate basic needs, builds peace through strong organizations, and improves the livelihoods of the most vulnerable.
Our Commitment
Underpinned by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, MRC Nepal is committed to promoting the rights of children, ensuring they are protected from harmful influences, abuse, and exploitation. This policy clearly states that child abuse in any form is unacceptable to our organization.
MRC Nepal operates diverse programs addressing the discriminatory status of the pro-poor, women, landless, Dalits, Janajatis, and other disadvantaged groups (DAGs). We integrate GESI at all stages of our project cycles through:
We consider transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and a culture of learning as essential components in our management. To ensure this, MRC Nepal promotes social audits, maintains democratic practices (like Quarterly Project Reviews and AGMs), and enforces strict mechanisms to address fraud and risk management.
MRC Nepal has a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA). We are dedicated to creating a safe and respectful environment for all communities we serve, our staff, and our partners. This policy mandates strict codes of conduct, confidential reporting mechanisms, and robust disciplinary actions to prevent and address any instances of exploitation or abuse.
Whether you're looking to partner, volunteer, or support our programs, there are many ways to get involved.
